Inklings Terms of Use

Important: Inklings is intended to foster authentic community, encouragement, accountability, discussion, and personal development. It is not a substitute for professional counseling, legal advice, medical treatment, financial advice, or emergency services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, joining a group, accessing content, or using any portion of the Service, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or participate in the Service unless specifically authorized by Inklings through a supervised program.

By using the Service, you represent that:

You are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
You will provide accurate account information.
You will not impersonate another person or organization.

3. Community Standards

Members are expected to contribute positively to the community and treat others with respect, dignity, and kindness.

You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse other members.
Post unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or discriminatory content.
Share content that infringes the rights of others.
Use the Service for spam, solicitation, or unauthorized marketing.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.

You retain ownership of content you create. However, by posting content through the Service, you grant Inklings a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process such content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit and its accuracy.

5. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to the Inklings Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection, storage, and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Group Participation and Accountability

Inklings provides tools that allow members to share goals, requests for support, discussion topics, personal challenges, and accountability items.

Members understand that:

Advice provided by other members represents individual opinions.
Inklings does not verify the accuracy of member-generated content.
Participation in groups is voluntary.
Members remain responsible for their own decisions and actions.

7. Resources and Shared Content

The Service may include links to articles, books, podcasts, videos, websites, scripture references, and other educational resources.

Inklings does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of third-party content and is not responsible for any external websites or services.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, trademarks, graphics, logos, and content provided by Inklings, is owned by Hatchery or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or exploit any portion of the Service without prior written permission.

9. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities occurring under your account.

You agree to notify Inklings promptly if you become aware of any unauthorized access or security breach.

10. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable access to the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

Inklings reserves the right to perform maintenance, updates, or enhancements without notice.

11. Termination

Inklings may suspend or terminate access to the Service if a user:

Violates these Terms.
Engages in harmful or disruptive conduct.
Creates legal, security, or operational risk.

Users may discontinue use of the Service at any time.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

INKLINGS DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INKLINGS, HATCHERY, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND VOLUNTEERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Inklings, Hatchery, its affiliates, employees, and representatives from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from:

Your use of the Service.
Your content.
Your violation of these Terms.
Your violation of applicable law.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms become effective upon posting. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to conflict of law principles.
